message of ICPFJ chairman

It is with great pleasure that I extend my heartfelt greetings to fellow journalists across the world. I welcome you all to the International Center for Protection and Freedom of Journalists (ICPFJ).
I believe freedom of expression is the cornerstone of democratic institutions and supporting this fundamental right is essential in this day and age. Together, we can bring a positive change, on a global scale, through freedom of expression and thought.
There are different organizations and groups, worldwide, dedicated to defending and protecting the rights of journalists. Their mission is to improve journalism and increase the safety of media personnel – whether it is for today or tomorrow.
We cannot call ourselves unique or better than the rest, but we can at least be certain that our work is unbiased. We stand against all forms of dictatorial, totalitarian and tyrannical regimes wherever they exist. This objective is not for personal gains, but for the sake of humanity. Our goal is to respect, promote, practice and ensure human rights on a global scale.
We are expanding our membership and are inviting applications from journalists working globally as ICPFJ delegates. Our growing membership base is instrumental in honoring and defining a new standard of ethical and impartial journalism. We have a shared responsibility to report the truth in a trustworthy and transparent manner.
Thank you
Dr Hatef Mokhtar.
