Message of Dr. Hatef Mokhtar Chairman ICPFJ, about the killing of Afghan journalist during attack in Kandahar.

The Killing Of Afghan Journalist During Attack In Kandahar.

I strongly condemn the killing of afghan video journalist Salim during an attack in Kandahar on Thursday. Today is the way again the dark day for afghan journalists and the whole afghan press as the journalist came under attack in the line of duty. We feel that the journalists, working in  war- turn Afghanistan are still  insecure as the las year was the bloodiest for the journalists in Afghanistan with at least 20 journalists killed and 170 cases of violence and threats were reported in overall the war-turn country. It is the need of hours to for the government of Afghanistan and media defenders and watchdog organization to support   the families of the targeted or victims journalists. We strongly demand to the international court of justice and UN Security Council to investigate the entire incident related to the killed and wounded journalists in Afghanistan. In a message, sent to the deprived family of Journalist, Salim the ICPFJ, has offered heartiest condolence and full support to his family.
